Bastian Korff brings his dazzling show, packed with love songs and love stories of all sorts – from Torch Songs, Indie Rock, Gaga-Pop to Operetta – to the RVT’s Hot August Fringe. And there’s not only song and dance on the stage – but many opportunities to get a sore throat from singing along.
And if you’ve ever wondered how Bonnie Tyler’s or Kylie Minogue’s songs sound in German you’ll find out. Bastian’s gonna sing some very (VERY) special German renditions of some of the biggest British pop and disco hits. And he’ll also teach you the Amazing German Art of dubbing porn.
Bastian is not only a fantastic singer, he’s also a great storyteller. Be prepared to ride an emotional rollercoaster: a philosotrivial multi-faceted Truth or Dare about any aspect of love – from sensual to psychotic, from silly to serious, bittersweet and sour.
Bastian is a German radio host, actor and singer. He’s just finished a triumphant run as Charlotte von Mahlsdorf in Doug Wright’s “I Am My Own Wife” in Frankfurt and will reprise this role in Berlin in October. He’s also starred in some films on German TV as well as touring Germany with his show “LiebesLied!” (LoveSong!)
Bastian headlines at 10 pm. The evening starts with Chris Fitchew’s comedy show at 7pm and cabaret singer Natalie Carrington at 8.30.
