Featured Song – Day 22
Well, this is a rum old story. When, in 1985 Belgian Luc Dominique was found dead from an alcohol and drugs overdose in an apparent suicide pact with long-time companion Annie Pecher few would have been able to connect such a tragic figure to the solemn but bright-eyed former Dominican nun, Sister Jeanne-Paul Marie Deckers. But back in 1963 it was indeed she who’d usurped even The Beatles in scoring THE international smash of the year with ‘Dominique’. But struggles with her faith, her fame, her sexuality and drugs, not to mention a hounding from the Belgian authorities over unpaid taxes, all took their toll. When nuns go bad.
